Replaced the window motor and greased the tracks. The window goes down great but 50% of the time it struggles going up just like the original motor. What am I missing?

My truck has that issue. The window channels liners are worn and need to be replaced. This allows the window to rock front to back and it sometimes gets wedged at an angle in the tracks. Stops it dead every time.

Perfect excuse to continue stripping everything out, and install a roll cage and plastic windows.

I would to boast about having bulletproof crank windows, but I’ve replaced the channel and reset the glass three times in two years. Also they kind of don’t roll down without pushing down on the glass...

My window channel is also worn and grabs onto my glass with a kung-fu grip. Lubricants have done nothing and aftermarket new channel is 100 bucks a pop. So I just kind of... gave up.

You could always rip the lining out of the channel. Kung Fu grip begone! The only downside is learning why they are called anti-rattle strips.....
